Tips When You Just Bring Home a Rescue Dog

Here’s a well balanced video, in my opinion, on how to handle the new rescue dog or shelter dog. View a few others so that you get a broader understanding of how to be gentle to a new rescue, abused, or shelter dog. For us, our rescue, Mr Fitch, is a dream dog. He was rescued from the most severe abuse imaginable. He had been shot, cut up throughout his body, and had his tail chopped off by evil people. We took him in from a rescue organization and, from day 1, he has been the most respectful, obedient, amazing dog. He just appreciates everything we give him. He’s amazing, and I bless God for allowing us to have him!!!

This is what Mr Fitch chews on for stress relief. We have had Mr Fitch for 9 months now and he still is afriad of all toys, for an unknown reason. He loves his beds and finds comfort and solace in them. He also loves his collagen sticks for chewing. He is 65 pounds and those sticks have provided SO much comfort and activity for him. Just make sure you get the size to fit your dog.
